The term Mindfulness is being used more often these days, but what is it all about?
Mindfulness means paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, with qualities like compassion, curiosity and acceptance.
With its roots in Buddhist meditation practice whilst also incorporating activities which resonate with contemporary lifestyles, mindfulness is a gentle, easy way to reduce stress and anxiety, to help you live more in the present and develop appreciation for each moment.
Mindfulness practice helps us to let go of mind chatter and judgement. It also helps us to foster compassion for ourselves and others. In the workplace it helps us to create a little more space in our day, to become more focused and productive, to manage workplace stress and cope with whatever is thrown at us in our busy lives.
