These half day sessions will introduce you to mindfulness using practical techniques which are easy and enjoyable to try. We’ll explore formal techniques such as following the breath, body scan or loving kindness meditation, combined with informal ways of mindfulness practice which you can incorporate within your daily routine at home.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8-week course
We all experience stress on a daily basis. This course offers skills and the development of a Mindfulness practice, the essence of which is based on Buddhist principles. You do not need to be a Buddhist to join this course & practice Mindfulness; you just need to be willing to become a human ‘being’ rather than a human ‘doing’!
This course teaches you about meditation & the breath, paying attention to emotions. It includes the body scan, mindful movement & the loving kindness meditation. Time is allocated to group discussion & weekly home practice is required to develop your personal practice.
